History of this website: ANRED.COM was originally created in 1996 by Jean Rubel, PhD, who is the founder and president of Anorexia Nervosa and Related Eating Disorders, Inc., a non-profit organization which ceased operation in 2009. ANRED provided comprehensive information about anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and other less well-known eating disorders. The website has since been acquired by Stickynote Ventures, LLC, which is a behavioral healthcare start-up based in Austin, TX. Among other things, Stickynote Ventures owns Monroe & Weisbrod, which is a company that provides psychiatry recuitment, Locum Tenens Psychiatry and Telepsychiatry services. Stickynote endeavors to overhaul the ANRED website, while retaining it's original intent, which is to be an objective resource for those seeking information about eating disorders.
